Ramadan in the UAE is set to come to an end in less than 10 days and residents are expecting a four-day long weekend on account of Eid Al-Fitr. The occasion is expected to fall on April 21, with official announcements pending based on the sighting of the moon. Travel searches have seen an upward trend during this period.
Almost half of the travellers from the UAE (49 percent) are looking for trips spanning over a week or less, the rest are searching for trips that are 1-2 weeks long, according to Skyscanner.
Top search appeared to be ‘Everywhere’ indicating that residents are open to multiple options for travel during the long weekend.

Various airlines are also seen offering low ticket fares during this period. Flydubai announced last week, special Eid return fares that start from AED1,135 and are available for booking by April 20 and for travel between April 15 and April 23, 2023.
Passengers can opt for the special fares for over 20 popular destinations including Istanbul, Krabi, Milan-Bergamo, Pattaya, Pisa, Salalah, Salzburg, and Tbilisi.
