Nasair, the low cost carrier airline based in Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday said it has launched new flights to three major cities in Turkey.
The new flights to Istanbul, Antakya and Adana adds 11 scheduled weekly flights from Riyadh and Jeddah airports, bringing the number of its international destinations to 21 cities, the company said in a statement.
Nasair is the first airline to launch scheduled flights to Antakya and Adana from Saudi Arabia.
“The flights will accommodate the growth in demand from Turkish expats living and working in Saudi Arabia, as well as the more than half a million pilgrims who come to Saudi Arabia each year from Turkey,” the airline added.
The economic significance of Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, along with its reputation as one of the world’s great tourist destinations made it an obvious inclusion in the new expanded Nasair route network, the carrier said.
Four direct flights between Jeddah and Istanbul have been added each week, along with three weekly direct flights between Jeddah and Adana as well as twice weekly direct services between Antakya and Jeddah and Antakya and Riyadh.
