Indian budget airline IndiGo announced commencing a new direct flight service to Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) from the southern Indian city of Hyderabad.
The new addition in the summer schedule will further bolster mobility and increased flight options for tourists and business travellers.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said the airline has started the new direct flights between Hyderabad-Ras Al Khaimah in view of the increasing demand.
“The country is witnessing a surge in domestic and international travel this year, and as India’s leading carrier, we are fulfilling this need by introducing new routes and adding frequencies to our existing routes,” he said.
With the introduction of these flights, IndiGo now operates 14 flights a week from 2 cities in India to the UAE city.
Ras Al-Khaimah is the 4th city in the UAE to which IndiGo operates flight services.
It is also its 11th destination in the Middle East, and 26th in its international network.
RAK is a popular destination for Indian leisure travellers, destination weddings and incentives targeting the MICE segment.
Some of the tourist destinations in RAK include Sunset at Jebel Jais, Zipline Down Jebel Jais’ slope, Dhayah Fort, National Museum and Khatt Springs.
Hyderabad is a great destination for tourists from the UAE, and also Middle East, as it has a variety of popular tourist attractions like Charminar, Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum, and many more.
