“We have the most beautiful city in the world. Our next goal is to make the emirate’s countryside among the most enjoyable and beautiful,” said Sheikh Mohammed.
Beautiful photos shared by Sheikh Mohammed show the stunning desert landscape of the emirate. They show thrilling attractions such as desert helicopter rides, a lake among the dunes, a convoy of camels and signage for a 100km scenic route through the desert.
The Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan says that protected wildlife sanctuaries and nature reserves must constitute 60 per cent of the total area of the Emirate.
Earlier this month the UAE launched its National Tourism Strategy.
