Check-in operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 2 resumed following a brief suspension due to a minor fire on Saturday night.
“Check-in at Terminal 2 is temporarily suspended due to a minor fire which was immediately brought under control by the airport fire services. We regret the inconvenience and are currently working with service partners to resolve the situation,” Dubai Airports said via X.
The details about the cause of the fire or the extent of any damage have not yet been revealed.
However, operations were brought back to normal conditions within a few hours.
The incident occurred during a busy period for the airport, which serves as a hub for international travel.
