Dubai dog private jet service announces giveaway for $10,000 flight ticket

The winner of the competition will get an all expenses paid private jet trip for the dog and the owner from Dubai to London

The first-ever flight for dogs and dog owners is set to take the skies on September 26, 2023

A new private jet service was announced in Dubai for canines and their owners, on Tuesday. The inaugural flight is set to depart on September 26, 2023 with a single ticket costing $9,925. In a new announcement, K9 JETS revealed the launch of a competition that will give two pet owners and their pets a complimentary seat aboard the flight.

To be eligible for the free ticket competition, interested pet owners will have to post a video introducing their dog, which must be Dubai-based, on Instagram or Facebook. The video must detail why they think their pet deserves a seat on the private jet.

Pet jet service launches in Dubai

The jet service is currently available only from Dubai to London with further plans to expand to Asia, Australia and Beyond in 2024.

This is the first service in Dubai, however, the company already flies to other international destinations including Paris, New York and Los Angeles.

The service aims to cater to the demand of travelers who are going on holiday to the UK and possibly relocating back to the country with their pets.

“Relocation can be a difficult and logistical challenge for pet owners. With many expatriates living in the Emirate, it’s a process that most residents go through when they decide to leave,” said Adam Golder, Co-Founder of K9 JETS.

“We are delighted to offer Dubai pet owners the opportunity to fly privately with their pets and assure them of personalised care, enhanced safety measures and amenities tailored to the unique needs of themselves and their pets,” he added.

The flights will operate from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport to Farnborough, UK.

Check-in will take place at the deluxe private terminal with a dedicated welcome team and a grassy area for pets to wander in prior to their private jet journey.

According to the International Pet and Transport Association (IPATA), pet travel has seen an upward trend in recent years with over four million pets and animals being transported internationally every year.
