Ajman is set to launch a food festival for the first time, later this week.

The emirates’ Department of Economic Development (Ajman DED) and Tourism Development Department (ATDD) are gearing up to hold the first edition of ‘Ajman Food Festival’ in Ajman Marina on March 9.

The four-day event will see 38 exhibitors from the most famous restaurants and cafes participating in the festival.

The event includes various entertainment activities, live cooking shows, competitions and workshops that suit all segments of society, adults and children, in an atmosphere full of fun and entertainment.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi (below), Director of business development administration at the Ajman DED, said the food festival aims to support national projects, investors in the food and beverage sector, and owners of small and medium enterprises (SME).

“The festival will promote ambitious ideas that support Ajman’s economy and contribute to developing the confidence among partners and the public,” Al Nuaimi added.

Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director-General of the ATDD, said the festival will contribute to enhancing the tourist attractions, supporting the Emirati entrepreneurs’ projects, and contributing to raising Ajman’s position among the best tourist destinations in the region.
