Abu Dhabi-based Twenty14 Holdings has opened its first hotel project in India – Port Muziris in Kochi.

The Kochi hotel also marks Marriott International’s first Tribute Portfolio branded property to open in South Asia.

Located at just 300 metres from the Cochin International airport, Port Muziris features 54 rooms.

The hotel’s design evokes grandeur and is reminiscent of the heritage residences found in Kerala, according to Twenty14 Holdings.

“The hotel’s uniqueness is visible through the soulful art spread across the property, the homely local food and the untypical rooms that bring out the vibrancy, vigour, and life of Kerala,” said Adeeb Ahamed, managing director of Twenty14 Holdings.

Hotel Muziris is among the five hotel projects that Twenty 14 Holdings will launch in India, with one more hotel and a resort planned in Kerala, while two are under development in Bengaluru. Another hotel project is under construction in Hyderabad.

Twenty 14 Holdings will invest $290 million for the five hospitality projects, Adeeb told Arabian Business in an earlier interview.

Twenty14 Holdings currently has assets worth more than $750 million spread across Europe, Middle East, and India.
