VisitBritain, Britain’s national tourism agency, has launched a new market campaign in the region in a bid to woo GCC tourists to the UK.

The “I Travel For…” campaign uses short films and storytelling to highlight experiences and off-the-beaten track destinations, as well as its already iconic landmarks and attractions, urging GCC travellers to “Find Your Great Britain” by booking a trip.

The campaign was officially unveiled at a reception at Dubai Opera hosted by Philip Parham, Britain’s ambassador to the UAE, as well as Tricia Warwick, VisitBritain’s director for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

“The GCC is an important market for VisitBritain and our new campaign aims to build on the growth we have seen, showcasing that Britain is bursting with fun activities, new adventures and wonderfully unexpected experiences that visitors can’t get anywhere else,” Warwick said.

‘I Travel For…’ forms part of the UK government’s larger GREAT Britain campaign, which showcase what Britain has to offer as a place to visit, study and do business.

“From Britain’s exciting and contemporary culture and living history to the vibrancy of our cool cities, from thrill-seeking adventures in stunning countryside to relaxing in areas of outstanding natural beauty, I Travel For wants to inspire visitors from the GCC to book a trip right now,” Warwick added.
