Abu Dhabi Police released a video alerting motorists who are fasting and trying to get home in time for iftar to abide by traffic laws and regulations.

The video urged drivers to adhere to the speed limit, be mindful of pedestrian crossings and to not exceed red traffic lights.

Earlier this week, it was announced that during Ramadan, heavy vehicles will not be allowed on Abu Dhabi’s roads. Buses and lorries have been banned from 8 AM to 10 AM, and from 2 PM to 4 PM in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The announcement was made by the Abu Dhabi Police on their official social media channels, and follows the authority’s efforts to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Holy month, and the prevention of accidents.
