A key road in the UAE will remain closed until the end of the month, Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) announced on Tuesday. The Zayed Bin Sultan Street will close on June 7 until June 29 and traffic will be diverted to the opposite side.
ITC urged all motorists to drive cautiously and abide by all traffic rules and regulations.
The authorities shared a map via Twitter, highlighting the open and closed roads.
On Tuesday, Abu Dhabi Police and the Integrated Transport Centre announced new speed limits being introduced this week.
Social media statements did not specify the new speed limit, but new signage in both directions on the impacted area specify the new rules.
A message posted on social media said: “Abu Dhabi Police urge motorists to follow the new speed limits on Umm Yafina Street in both directions from Al Reem Island to Sheikh Zayed Street (Al Qurm) in order to improve traffic safety”.
