Residents whose cars were damaged by the extreme weather in the emirate on Saturday can obtain a certificate through the Sharjah Police app.
Motorists can obtain the certificate to officially document any damage to their vehicles through the app.
How to obtain the certificate
On the Sharjah Police app, click on the “Police Services” icon and select the “To Whom It May Concern Certificate”.
Users must then fill out the form will all required details, including information on the damage, as well as the date, location and images of the incident, along with vehicle ownership and insurance information.
Once completed, applicants will receive the transaction number via email.
Dubai, Sharjah hit by extreme weather
The announcement comes after a weekend of extreme weather which included heavy rain, strong winds and flooding which caused severe damage to some vehicles and buildings in the emirate.
Parts of Dubai and Sharjah were affected, leading the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) to issue yellow and orange alerts lasting until 8 PM on Saturday.
