Trucks are prohibited from entering Riyadh during Ramadan

  • Sunday to Thursday from 8am until 2am
  • Service trucks from 8am until 12pm and 3pm until 6pm

On weekends, the trucks are not allowed to enter Riyadh from:

  • 4pm until 8am
  • Service trucks from 4pm until 6pm and 9pm until 1am

Trucks are prohibited from entering Jeddah from:

  • Sunday to Thursday from 9am until 7pm and from 9pm until 1am (Except Thursdays when trucks are banned until 3am)

On weekends, trucks are not allowed to enter Jeddah from:

  • 4pm until 7pm and from 9pm until 3am (Except Saturdays, when trucks are only stopped until 1am).

Water trucks and garbage trucks are excluded from the ban.

The TGA has introduced as system for booking electronic appointments for truck entry to Riyadh and Jeddah during the banned hours.

The system, which was determined according to the ban times announced by the TGA during Ramadan, allows trucks licensed for working in cargo transport to book appointments through the “City Entry” service of the electronic portal of cargo transportation to enter cities with specific routes to facilitate their movement during the banned times.

TGA also indicated that the “City Entry” service would contribute to preventing the traffic jam of trucks at the main entrances to cities, regulating and managing truck flow, and raising the efficiency and quality of digital services in the logistics sector.

TGA added that carriers could benefit from the “Entrance of Trucks into Cities” service on the electronic Naql portal’s (City Entry) service, which provides several electronic services that support and enable carriers to carry out cargo activities quickly and conveniently.
