Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued specific instructions to be followed by bicycle, and e-scooter users at the Dubai Water Canal.
The video detailing the instructions was posted on the authority’s official social media account on Wednesday, “Make sure to adhere to the mentioned instructions to avoid violation. Use the bicycle or e-scooter on the designated tracks only to ensure your comfort & that of others,” the caption read.

- Adhere to the directional signs in place at the location
- Follow instructions to avoid violations
Earlier this year, Dubai Metro issued new rules for scooters, bicycles on board the train and the metro stations.
The new instructions as per RTA are:
- Scooters or bicycles must be folded in the Metro Stations
- Those with scooters or bicycles are allowed to pass through the wide gate only
- On board the metro, scooters and bicycles must be placed in the luggage area
