Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a ban on the use of e-scooters inside the Dubai Metro and Tram trains.
The ban will come into effect from March 1, 2024.
In an X post, the authority said: “To ensure your safety and that of others, the use of E-scooters inside #DubaiMetro and #DubaiTram will be prohibited, starting Friday, March 1, 2024. #YourSafetyOurPriority.”
Dubai Metro welcomes battery-free foldable bicycles
However, only foldable bicycles without any batteries are allowed inside The Dubai Metro and Tram cabin, the authority said, replying to the query of an X user.
“These bicycles must adhere to the size regulations for luggage and should be stored in the designated luggage area within the train,” RTA said.
