Indian budget airline IndiGo announced a new direct flight connecting Abu Dhabi to India’s Silicon Valley Bengaluru.

The new flight service will commence from August 1, the airline said.

The Abu Dhabi-Bengaluru flight will operate six times a week, serving as a gateway for Indian travellers to explore the island city.

With the launch of this new flight, IndiGo will now operate 75 weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to 10 cities in India, further strengthening connectivity to the UAE capital.

Head of Global Sales Vinay Malhotra said the new flight service from Bengaluru will be the tenth city on the IndiGo network to offer direct flights between Abu Dhabi and India.

“This new flight will further strengthen travel, trade and tourism between India and the UAE by offering smooth and convenient options for business as well as leisure,” he said.
