Flydubai, the Dubai-based low-cost airline, operates 30 flights daily to Doha during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the airline’s chief executive officer Ghaith Al-Ghaith said.

The airline will run daily operations during the tournament until December 18.

The move is part of flydubai’s efforts to enable more football fans to travel to Qatar seamlessly, so that they do not miss out on the much-awaited tournament.

“All our flights departing to Doha International Airport in the morning and afternoon were almost completely full and this trend seems to continue over the coming days and weeks. It is a happy day for all those who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to successfully launch these flights,” Al-Ghaith said.

Al-Ghaith also extended his gratitude to Qatar Airways for its partnership with flydubai, to make these flights a reality, as well as to Dubai airports for ensuring a smooth flow of traffic at Al Maktoum International Airport to meet the needs of these flights.

“This is a major event for the entire region and we are proud to be a part of it,” Al-Ghaith said.
