Emirates unveils Valentine’s Day offerings in lounges, onboard

In time for Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 14, Emirates has unveiled a range of offerings in its dedicated lounges and onboard. Ranging from baked goods, mood lighting, curated entertainment playlists and more, the airline is geared up for the celebration.

Travellers onboard select flights on February 14 will be offered a mini red velvet cupcake and brownies in all cabin classes. Additionally for those flying Business Class and First Class, passengers will receive glass of Dom Pérignon Rosé or Moët Chandon Rosé Impérial.

Within selected lounges from February 13 to 15, Emirates will be serving Valentine’s Day-inspired cakes and desserts, including chocolate cake, heart-shaped lime macarons and Cupid’s pavlova. In addition, the lounges will serve themed mocktails and more.

Special deliveries onboard

The airline has a special delivery service onboard for those flying in Economy or Premium Economy. “Send a surprise treat to your loved one’s seat, or enjoy a magic moment together when you fly from Dubai in Economy Class and Premium Economy,” the website reads.

Passengers can place orders ahead of time for a cake and champagne package for an added cost.

Those in Business Class and First Class can avail this service for free, travellers who wish to avail this service are requested to place orders at least 48 hours in advance.

Date night settings

Travellers can opt for red light ambient settings on selected flights. Passengers will also be able to choose from new movie releases and curated TV shows specifically selected to suit the occasion such as romantic comedies and dramas.

“Use the Emirates App to plan your romantic gesture before you fly, then sync your phone with your seatback TV and press play on all your favourites,” the website reads.

Gifting can also be done aboard Emirates flights through the in-flight shopping magazine, the airline says, offering Valentine’s Day gift bundles and discounts.

Passengers have the option to purchase items in advance and have the gift delivered onboard.
