Emirates has cancelled some flights out of Dubai due to severe weather conditions caused by Typhoon Lan.
The airline cancelled four flights in total, with passengers informed that flights to Osaka, Japan would “not be accepted for travel at the point of origin until further notice”.
A travel advisory notice was published saying Osaka flights scheduled for August 14 and 15 would not operate.

Impacted flights are:
- EK316 on August 14
- EK317 on August 14
- EK316 on August 15
- EK317 on August 15
The airline said: “Emirates regrets any inconvenience caused. Affected customers who have booked with travel agents should contact them for alternative travel arrangements.
“Customers who have booked directly with Emirates may contact their local office for rebooking options.”
Parts of Japan are braced for the arrival of Typhoon Lan. The storm is currently east of Japan and approaching with winds of 160kmph. The Typhoon is expected to pass close to Osaka.
