Emirates launched its second daily A380 service from Dubai to Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.
The route increases the airline’s daily capacity to the US city to just under 1,000 passengers.
It also added Austrian capital Vienna to the list of cities it travels to by Airbus A380.
The second Los Angeles route, EK217, will be operated by an Airbus A380-800. It was launched by an aircraft decked out in the branding of US baseball team the Los Angeles.
It is configured for three cabin classes with 14 private suites in first class, 76 seats in business class and 401 seats in economy class.
