Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has approved new enhancements and advancements for the Dubai Metro as part of the 10th edition of Dubai’s Railway Protection Code of Practice.
The approved updated version will include safety optimal functional techniques and protection measures of the train facilities.
A risk assessment will be carried out alongside engineering analysis of all restricted works and activities which impact the safety of the railway infrastructure.
The new code was revised based on analysis of previous versions.
The “Rail Agency has issued 34,235 no-objection certificates for projects since the beginning of this year, including critical projects that may affect the safety of metro and tram facilities, the safety of their passengers, and the safety of operation,” the announcement read.
