Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s largest international airport, is gearing up to embrace a staggering influx of 3.3 million travellers during the next 13-day span.
These numbers are expected as UAE residents make their way back from their summer vacations.
The airport averages 258,000 visitors on a daily basis, with an estimated half a million guests to pass through its terminals, peaking on August 26 and 27.
Dubai Airports works in collaboration with airlines, regulatory authorities, as well as commercial and service partners, to ensure that the airport experience for all guests remains seamless and efficient.
For the arriving visitors, DXB recommends the following:
- Young travellers aged four to 12 can process their passports at dedicated passport control counters in Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
- Families with members over 12 years old can opt for Smart Gates to speed up the passport control process.
- Travellers are encouraged to explore the diverse amenities present in lounges, dining establishments, shopping outlets, and duty-free areas.
- During peak hours, the roads around the airport may become congested, prompting a suggestion to consider using the Dubai Metro, with convenient stations located at DXB Terminals 1 and 3.
- DXB provides a wide array of transportation choices, including ride-hailing services like Uber and Careem, RTA Taxis, as well as car rental options.
- Those coming to collect guests are advised to use the specially designated car parks or valet services for a comfortable reception. Terminal 1 and 3’s Arrivals’ forecourts are accessible solely to authorised airport vehicles and public transport.
