Plans have been set into place to manage traffic and visitors during celebrations across the country for New Year’s Eve on December 31.
Traffic rules and road closures have been announced on Thursday, the public is urged to follow these to ensure safety and ease of mobility.
The Integrated Transport Centre has announced the following rules in Abu Dhabi:
Trucks and labour buses ban inside Abu Dhabi Island on New Year’s Eve from December 31, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
Closure of Bridges in Al Maryah Island on New Year’s Eve from December 31, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
In Dubai, RTA has announced its readiness for New Year’s Eve through a traffic plan mapped out by Dubai Police in conjunction with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to ease mobility and traffic on December 31, as tourists and residents travel across the city to celebrate New Year.
Preparations have been set on a smart plan mapped out by Dubai Police in conjunction with the RTA which will use 10 thousand cameras to smart monitor the roads by the Enterprise Command and Control Centre of the RTA.
