Saudia has launched its first ever flight from Jeddah to Marrakech.
The service will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and becomes the airline’s second destination in Morocco, after Casablanca.
At a ceremony to mark the inaugural flight, Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghurairi, Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, said: “The flight seeks to strengthen air traffic between the two countries and will encourage tourism and will serve as a platform to inaugurate other lines to other tourism cities across Morocco.”
The director of the Saudi Arabian Airlines in Morocco, Mohammed Al-Samrani, revealed that the number of passengers traveling to and from Morocco in the past two years had increased by 19 percent.
