Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has said the line between Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and Ibn Battuta will re-open on April 19.

The line between the two stations has been closed  since January last year to allow for works to connect the Expo 2020 Dubai extension. Passengers travelling beyond either station availed of a free shuttle bus service to continue their journey.

The extension works included constructing a new metro station and linking it with the existing station, which has seen the Nakheel Harbour and Tower station, and the attached multi-level parking terminal, fully closed and will remain so until further notice, according to the RTA.
