Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) will begin operating new routes to Athens and Marrakesh beginning in early June, the airline has announced.
According to Saudia, the route from Jeddah to Marrakesh will begin on June 6 and will be operated on a Boeing 787 three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Marrakech is the second city in Morocco to be served by Saudia, following Casablanca.
Saudia’s new route from Riyadh to Athens will be operated on a Airbus A320 four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays. Later in the year, the route will operate from Jeddah.
The route marks the airline’s return to Athens after it discontinued services in 2008.
Saudia currently flies to 95 destinations around the world using a fleet of more than 160 aircraft.
Last year, the airline transported over 34 million passengers and introduced new routes to Vienna, Trivandrum, Surabaya, Medan, re-introduced flights to Cochin, and operated seasonal routes to Izmir, Malaga and Moscow.
