Sydney and Melbourne will be the next airports included in the global roll-out of Etihad Airway’s new lounge brand ‘The House’, recently announced in partnership with No1 Lounges.
Eligible customers of Etihad Airways or Virgin Australia will be able to go to the lounge in Sydney from next Tuesday (October 23), while those departing from Melbourne will be able to use the lounge from Saturday, October 27.
The brand was officially launched at London Heathrow’s Terminal 4 on October 5.
“In developing the new brand we worked to one very simple, but specific objective, which was to take everything that makes our lounges great, the ambiance, the design, the food and beverage offering, and make it even better,” said Linda Celestino, Etihad Airways vice president for guest experience and delivery.
Celestino added that the establishment of the lounges in Sydney and Melbourne highlights the importance of the Australian market for Etihad.
“We are more committed to Australia than ever and the launch of The House in Sydney and Melbourne, two of the most important gateways in our network alongside London, is testament to that,” she said.
Complimentary entry to the lounges will be offered to Etihad Airways Business Class and First Class customers and to those travelling in The Residence. Gold and platinum members of Etihad’s frequent flyer programme and business and first class travellers ticketed on codeshare partner services are also eligible.
Economy class passengers will be able to pay for access.
