Salesforce, the American cloud-based CRM company is making its way to the Middle East region with its first location set to open in Dubai this year. The company has also announced new product launches to strengthen further the services provided.
“It is a big day for us, probably the most important one. We have seen in five-six years, a huge growth in the market, not only in the UAE but also in the region so we decided to be closer to our customers to better serve them,” said Thierry Nicault, Area Vice President and General Manager, Salesforce Middle East to Arabian Business in an exclusive interview at the Salesforce World Tour Essentials Dubai event, on Thursday.
Salesforce Middle East is being built with a team that will start to be on-site in August-September. “It will start with the relocation of people from Europe and we will continue to relocate the rest of the people and start to hire locally from September,” Nicault explained.
The event held in Madinat Jumeirah on Thursday brought together more than 3,000 delegates, including Salesforce customers and partners.
“It is not only our event, it is the event of the ecosystem. Partners are really involved with us, customers are really active in showing what they are doing with the platform,” he said.
The company’s ecosystem of partners in the Middle East grew 46 percent year-on-year by January 31, while Salesforce certifications rose by 51.5 percent during the same period.
Salesforce is expected to create 20,300 new jobs and $3.9 billion in new business revenues by 2026.
“We are number one in the last ten years and we stay humble about that, our market share is much higher than anyone else,” Nicault proudly explained at the Media Roundtable.
When asked why Salesforce has chosen this region as its newest location and hub, Nicault said to Arabian Business, “I’ve been coming here for the last twenty years, I know this region quite well and I know that to start deploying in the region, it is easier to come here. So for us, it was natural. Doesn’t mean that we only work in the UAE, we work across the region in Saudi, Egypt, Kuwait and more. The potential is here, customers are asking us to come but we will also use it as a hub to serve the region.”
According to the data and statistics analysed, the company is performing better in this region at the moment, at a faster growth rate than North America in terms of percentage and Salesforce is receiving positive feedback from customers.
Salesforce Einstein GPT
Presenting its newest innovations in the Middle East for the first time, Salesforce demonstrated Einstein GPT, a generative AI service “not replacing the human actions” that helps customers generate trusted content from their own database, unlike ChatGPT which is an open public structure.
The company has major moves upcoming this year specifically in this region with the launch of new products, a new location and enhanced services. Salesforce being present in this region is a move aimed at serving customers better, closer to regions with high demand and success.
“I can’t tell you what would be the next product of ofcourse but you know we have a plan of reaching $50 billion of ACV in the coming tears and one of the key points for us is to keep innovating,” Nicault concluded.
