Microsoft Equipt, a comprehensive security and productivity software subscription service for consumers, has been launched by Microsoft.
It combines Windows Live OneCare for effective PC management and security along with the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 package. The Office experience is enhanced by Microsoft Office Live Workspace, a new service that allows users to save documents at a dedicated online ‘workspace’. Windows Live Tools, such as Messenger and Photo Gallery, are also included.
Microsoft Equipt, which can be installed on up to three home computers, will be offered exclusively through Circuit City stores in the US from mid-July. Subscriptions are priced $69.99 for a year with subscribers receiving free upgrades as they are released.
