Instagram has now resolved the bug that caused many users to find their accounts suspended, or facing a loss of followers.
The social media giant took it to Twitter to announce that they have resolved the bug 14 hours after they first reported it.
“It was causing people in different parts of the world to have issues accessing their accounts and caused a temporary change for some in number of followers. Sorry!” the company said in their tweet.

Instagram down: Users report account access suspended during outage
On Monday, Instagram was down as users all around the world express outrage over their accounts being suspended.
Accounts on the social networking site started to receive alarming notifications earlier today, stating that their accounts would be suspended at the end of the day on October 31. The notification then gives the user 30 days to ‘disagree with this decision’.
According to Downdetector, a high number of reports were received by users facing issues with their accounts.
