Indian telecom major Reliance Jio launched an array of international roaming plans tailored for the UAE and the US, along with comprehensive annual plans.
It also announced discounted in-flight data packages for a number of airlines, including international carriers, for its subscribers.
As for international roaming offerings for the UAE, Jio will offer three options – $10.82 (INR 898), $19.25 (INR 1598) and $36.11 (INR 2,998).
The $36.11 plan encompasses 250 outgoing and incoming minutes, 7GB data, and 100 SMS with a validity spanning 21 days, while the $19.25 plan offers 150 minutes, 3GB data, and 100 SMS, valid for 14 days.
Under the $10.82 plan, subscribers will get 1GB data, 100 minutes, and 100 SMS, with a 7-day validity.
Running parallel to the UAE plans, Reliance Jio also introduces three international roaming options for the US, priced at $41.61 (INR 3455), $30.77 (INR 2555) and $18.73 (INR 1555).
The telecom major also announced an annual roaming package at $33.71 (INR 2,799), applicable across 51 countries. This plan encompasses 2GB of data and remains valid for 365 days.
Reliance Jio’s in-flight plans
Jio also targeted globetrotters with four in-flight plans applicable to 22 airlines and 51 countries.
Priced at $30.10 (INR 2,499), $48.16 (INR 3,999), $60.21 (INR 4,999) and $72.25 (INR 5,999), these plans boast diverse advantages.
The $30.10 plan comprises 100 outgoing minutes, 250MB data, and 10-day validity, covering 35 countries, while the $48.16 plan offers 4GB data, 100 SMS, and a 30-day validity.
The $60.21 plan incorporates 1,500 minutes, 5GB data, and 1,500 SMS over 30 days and the $72.25 plan offers 400 calling minutes, 6GB data, and 500 SMS, maintaining a validity of 30 days and spanning 51 countries.
