Mixed martial arts fans across the UAE will be able to attend Abu Dhabi Showdown Week’s eagerly-anticipated official weigh-in for UFC 242: Khabib vs Poirier – taking place on September 6 – for free.
The first-come-first-served tickets to the weigh-ins and dramatic pre-fight stare-downs will be open to book from midday on Monday September 2 on www.ticketmaster.ae. Tickets will be limited to two per booking.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is expecting to seal his legacy against interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier in Abu Dhabi.
The two men will contest a title unification bout at UFC 242, Abu Dhabi’s third UFC event and the first since the UFC and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) agreed a five-year partnership earlier this year.
Being held at The Arena, the new indoor venue on Yas Island that will also stage UFC 242 the following evening, the weigh-in for Khabib vs Poirier starts at 6pm.
The free-to-attend event adds further excitement to the expansive programme for Abu Dhabi Showdown Week – the week-long series of entertainment and lifestyle events created by DCT Abu Dhabi – to support the UAE capital’s mega UFC 242 event on September 7.
