The product will be marketed in the Middle East by Lulu Group’s export division Fair Exports.
Lulu Group International will hand over the purchase order in this regard on Tuesday, December 24, during the inauguration of Milma’s Milk Powder Plant at Moorkanad in Kerala’s northern district of Malappuram, the cooperative said.
Milma Chairman K S Mani will receive the purchase order from Lulu Group India CEO and Director M A Nishad.
Milma Managing Director Asif K. Yusuf said milk powder has huge demand in the Gulf countries and Milma hopes such a favourable market will help boost the sale of the ‘Day- to-Day’ dairy whitener.
Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, known by the brand Milma, had last year entered into an agreement with the Lulu Group International for the sale of its products in the Lulu Hypermarkets in the Middle East countries.
The agreement aims to tap into the demand for high-quality dairy products, particularly dairy whitener, in Middle Eastern markets.
Various products of Milma including ghee, premium dark chocolate, golden milk chocolate, golden milk mix powder, instant paneer butter masala and palada payasam mix are already available in Lulu Hypermarkets.
