The UAE Fuel Price Committee on Thursday announced that fuel prices are set to fall in September following price increases in August.

Super 98 petrol will cost AED2.28 from September 1, down from AED2.37, while Special 95 will cost AED2.16 a litre, down from AED2.26 a litre.

E-Plus 91 petrol will cost AED2.08 in September, down from AED2.18 in August while the price of diesel will also decline from AED2.42 to AED2.38.

Fuel prices in the UAE were liberalised in August 2015, so they now move with the market.

Prices in the UAE peaked during the summer as Brent oil spiked at $86 a barrel in October – the highest level since November 2014.
