Gourmet café chain Pantry Café has announced it is to close its Dubai locations permanently after four years in business.
The company, which has outlets in Wasl Square, Jumeirah and Bay Square Business Bay, thanked customers who had dined with them in a social media post.
Pantry Café, which offers a variety of food including tapas, sandwiches, burgers, and steaks, will shut by the end of May but did not give a reason for the closure in the post.
In a statement, it said: “All good things must come to an end. Regretfully, after four wonderful years, we will be closing our doors by the end of this month. We are very grateful to all those who have supported us on this journey. We will miss you and we hope to see you around one last time.”
It added that it is offering customers a last chance to claim 25 percent off their bill by mentioning PC25 to their server.
In February, a report revealed the total number of restaurants and cafes in Dubai reached 11,813 at the end of 2018, with 1,109 new restaurants and cafes opening.
In 2018, the number of newly opened restaurants reached 641, while the number of cafes stood at 468, compared to 601 and 410 respectively in 2017.
