Dubai Duty Free plans 20% discounts for Diwali

Dubai Duty Free is to roll out a series of special promotions including a 20 percent discount offer on November 1 and 2 to mark the Hindu festival of Diwali.

The offer will be available for all arriving and departing passengers travelling through Dubai International and Al Maktoum International Airport ahead of the Festival of Lights celebration.

The promotion offers customers a 20 percent discount on a range of categories including perfumes and cosmetics, watches, liquor, confectionery, delicatessen and household goods, while certain watch and perfume brands are excluded, a statement said.

Customers can also avail of this offer online by pre-ordering or upon collection at the time of payment at Dubai Duty Free shops on the same dates, it added.

Colm McLoughlin, executive vice chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free said: “Our Indian customers are very important to us and Diwali is the most significant festival for Indians to celebrate all over the world. It is a great opportunity for us to join in the celebrations and to mark this special occasion.”
