Popular eatery and global brand wagamama has announced plans to open its first restaurant in Abu Dhabi.

The restaurant at Abu Dhabi Mall will be launched on October 31, bringing the number of locations across the UAE to eight.

The retailer said the opening marks a new chapter in the wider expansion plans for the restaurant brand across the UAE and a growing presence in neighbouring GCC countries.

The first wagamama restaurant in the UAE opened at Crowne Plaza on Sheikh Zayed Road in 2004 while 2018 saw the arrival of the largest venue to date within the Dubai Mall, and the brand’s first restaurant in Sharjah.

wagamama said it has also recently opened a newest branch in Dubai’s Marina Mall alongside a successful introduction of its breakfast menu for the first time in the Middle East.
