Property developer Arada has finished the first eight blocks of houses in Naseej District, part of the large Aljada project in Sharjah.
Spread over 24 million square feet, Aljada contains housing, retail, hotels, leisure facilities and offices set around green spaces.
Each of the 920 homes in the Tiraz buildings are near cultural venues, shops and a performance theatre called Il Teatro designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
“We’re delighted to welcome the first families to Naseej District, just one of the many exciting and fulfilling communities available to residents at Aljada. We’re now working hard to deliver the remaining residential blocks in Naseej District, as well as awarding the contract for Il Teatro by the end of this year, which will together result in an impressive new creative district for Sharjah,” Arada group CEO Ahmed Alkhoshaibi said.
The Tiraz buildings contain flats of different sizes and overlook courtyards and open spaces, and are connected to the rest of Naseej District by a landscaped park.
Smart technology comes as standard in all the flats. Residents can also use a gym, swimming pools, playgrounds and barbecue areas.
Completing the Tiraz blocks brings the total homes finished at Aljada to over 7,500. Kuwaiti contractor Mohammad Abdulmohsen Al-Kharafi & Sons was chosen to build the Tiraz buildings in February 2022, with the first four blocks completed in December 2023.
Construction on further blocks in Naseej District is ongoing and will finish by the end of 2024.
“Our track record of quality design and timely delivery of impressive surrounding amenities, backed by the strong fundamentals of the Sharjah property market, has meant that property values at Aljada have increased significantly since launch and we expect this trend to continue in the future, adding value to our buyers’ investments,” Alkhoshaibi added.
