Apple is increasing the cost of its music subscription service in the UAE.

Subscribers to the popular music streaming service have been contacted alerting them to a 10 per cent increase in the monthly fee for Apple Music.

Apple is raising the price of monthly individual membership of Apple Music from AED19.99 to AED21.99 per month.

Rolling monthly renewal terms of Apple Music means that subscribers in the UAE will automatically be charged the higher amount unless they directly cancel the service.

Apple Music members on the individual monthly service in the UAE have access to 80million songs, ad-free streaming and curated playlists.

Last week Apple announced financial results for its fiscal 2022 fourth quarter ended September 24, 2022.

The Company posted a September quarter record revenue of $90.1bn, up 8 percent year over year.

Annual revenue was $394.3bn, up 8 percent year over year.

“This quarter’s results reflect Apple’s commitment to our customers, to the pursuit of innovation, and to leaving the world better than we found it,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

“As we head into the holiday season with our most powerful lineup ever, we are leading with our values in every action we take and every decision we make.

As reported by Arabian Business Apple has announced that its phones will feature USB-C charging ports following the new EU law.
