Abu Dhabi Media Company on Tuesday said its journalists would continue to report from the frontline of conflicts despite the tragic death of Ziad Al-Sharabi, a cameraman with Abu Dhabi TV.
He was killed on Monday in Yemen’s Mocha, alongside six civilians, including two children, by a Houthi bomb attack, state news agency WAM reported.
The attack also injured 20 other civilians, including Abu Dhabi TV reporter Faisal Al Dhahbani.
Abu Dhabi Media Company expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
In a statement, ADMC general manager, Dr Ali bin Tamim, strongly condemned the terrorist attacks, adding that the Houthi’s continually violate international laws and norms by attacking civilians and members of the press.
“This is not the first time that our frontline crews in Yemen have been exposed to Houthi violations and terrorist acts,” he said, adding that Abu Dhabi Media is at the forefront of news reporting on developments in Yemen.
“Houthi militias practice terrorist tactics and commit crimes against unarmed civilians by planting IEDs, mines and mortars in civilian populated areas and government buildings.
“We at Abu Dhabi Media, will not stop exposing these brutal crimes,” he added.
