Speakers have been confirmed for the 15th Arabian Business Forum, which will take place at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah on November 12.
Hosted by BBC journalist and ITP chairman Andrew Neil, the theme of the forum is, ‘Setting the scene: artificial intelligence, advanced technology and its impact on the future of work.’
The half-day forum, which starts at 9am, will tackle key challenges facing a job market that is currently experiencing a rapid digital evolution.
Following welcome remarks from Andrew Neil, Jonathan Holmes, country chair and managing director at Korn Ferry Middle East will open the conference with a keynote speech on ‘how to prepare businesses and professional for a future revolving around high tech’.
Holmes will then join a panel discussion focusing on the talent shift and skills gap seen as a result of advanced technology.
He will be joined by Iman Al Qassim, chief human resources officer at ENOC, Ahmed Sami, chief strategy officer at Higher Colleges of Technology and Maha Al Qattan, senior vice president Group People at DP World.
Next on the agenda is a panel discussion on ‘people versus technology’, which will include input from Alain Bejjani, CEO at Majid Al Futtaim, Danny Leinders, senior client partner at Korn Ferry Middle East, Husam Al Sayed, general manager Group Human Resources at Emirates NBD and Sameer Areff, chief operating officer, Middle East South at SAP.
A third panel discussing women in tech will include Haidi Nossair, marketing director, Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Dell EMC and a senior representative from Standard Chartered Bank.
Noor Sweid, General Partner at Global Ventures, will then deliver a presentation entitled: One-to-One: Investing in Technology and the Future of the Region.
A final panel will then discuss the next generation of professionals. Speakers include Hans Henrik Christensen, vice president at Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Centre, Vijay Tirathrai, managing director at Techstars, Taline Vahanian, founder at Felix and Alexander Xydas, founder at Flugauto.
