Dubai-based Starz Play will air the premiere of Billions the same time as it’s shown in the US.
The streaming media company, which has the rights to broadcast the hit TV show in 19 countries across the Middle East and North Africa, will make the premiere of the series available to subscribers on Sunday, March 25.
The drama centres around the rivalry between federal prosecutor Chuck Rhoades Jr. (Paul Giamatti) and hedge fund billionaire Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) over his financial crimes as in inside trader.
However, this time the pair will also find themselves fighting for survival against new enemies, too – one being none other than new attorney general Waylon “Jock” Jeffcoat, played by Highlander’s Clancy Brown.
Maggie Siff and Malin Akerman return as Chuck and Bobby’s long-suffering wives, with Emmy-winning and two-time Oscar-nominated actor and director John Malkovich also making a surprise guest appearance as Russian billionaire Grigor Andolov. He’s previously worked with show-runners David Levien and Brian Koppelman twice before – as a Russian mobster, no less – so expect big things from him a third time around.
