The Sultanate’s public sector will enjoy Eid holidays from Tuesday, June 4 until the third of Shawwal (tenth month of the Islamic calendar) which will fall on either Friday or Saturday, with work resuming on Sunday, June 9.
“Eid Al-Fitr holidays for employees in ministries, public bodies and other units of the administrative apparatus of the state will be from Tuesday 29 of Ramadan, 4 June to the end of the 3rd of Shawwal,” Oman News Agency said.
Oman’s private sector, on the other hand, will enjoy three days of holiday starting from Tuesday, June 4, to Thursday, June 6, the agency announced.
“The Eid Al-Fitr holiday for employees of private sector companies and establishments will be effective from Tuesday 29 of Ramadan, 4th of June until the end of Thursday, 6th of June,” it said in a statement.
