Dubai’s Attorney-General Essam Eisa Al Humaidan has announced that Nidal Eisa Abdullah, convicted of the kidnap, rape and murder of an eight-year old boy, was executed on Thursday.
The execution was carried out after the Cassation Court rejected his appeal and upheld his death sentence, said a statement carried by Dubai Media Office.
The 50-year old Jordanian kidnapped the eight-year-old boy Obaida Ibrahim Sidgi Abdul Hadi from his father’s workshop in Sharjah, and raped and suffocated him to death.
Dubai Criminal Court last year handed down the death sentence in the case.
Obaida was kidnapped while playing outside his father’s garage in Sharjah’s industrial area. His body was found two days later in Academic City Road in Al Warqa.
