The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) launched a new initiative to engage with citizens to spread awareness about its ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy’ programme.

It sent detailed questionnaires to individuals and private sector entities to get responses and suggestions on the programme.

The questionnaire aims to measure the impact of recent improvements introduced to facilitate service provision, reduce procedures, eliminate duplicate requirements, and establish a leading user experience in the health sector.

The move is also set to support the ministry’s ongoing efforts to implement the zero bureaucracy programme.

The “Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme” was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to simplify life for the public and foster a business environment that attracts both talent and investment, aligning with the goals of the “We the UAE 2031” vision.

Its objective is to streamline procedures, making them the simplest, fastest, easiest, and most efficient possible, thereby reducing unnecessary burdens on businesses and individuals in terms of time, effort, and resources, and enhancing the quality of life within society.

Practical procedures

As part of its commitment to achieving the objectives of the programme, the ministry has taken practical measures to streamline and speed up access to services.

This includes eliminating unnecessary requirements and re-engineering health services to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency.

Additionally, the ministry is leveraging the latest digital technologies and innovations to accurately analyse health needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring the provision of quick and easy services that improve customer satisfaction and happiness.

Such initiatives not only positively impact the public health of the community but also align with the UAE’s broader goal of enhancing the quality of life and happiness for all members of society.

Engaging customers in service development

Abdullah Ahmed Ahli, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for the Support Services Sector at MoHAP, said the questionnaire seeks to engage with customers for the programme’s implementation process and enhance the efficiency as well as effectiveness of the health services.

As part of the “Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme”, the Ministry of Health and Prevention has recently collaborated with the team from the Prime Minister’s Office to host a workshop focused on this initiative.
