Saudi Arabia has dropped covid travel restrictions for citizens looking to travel outside of the country.
An official source in the Ministry of Interior stated that citizens travelling outside of the Kingdom no longer need to have a Covid vaccine.
The statement said based on reports from health authorities regarding the stabilisation of the coronavirus situation locally and globally and the unlimited support of the Kingdom’s leadership, it was decided to allow citizens to travel outside the country without needing immunisation against Covid-19.

The Ministry of Interior added that authorities will continue following up the epidemiological situation.
In May, the World Health Organisation said Covid-19 no longer qualifies as a global emergency.
The WHO announcement marked a symbolic end to the devastating coronavirus pandemic that triggered once-unthinkable lockdowns, upended economies and killed millions of people worldwide.
The announcement, made more than three years after WHO declared the coronavirus an international crisis, offered some relief, if not an ending, to a pandemic that stirred fear and suspicion, hand-wringing and finger-pointing across the globe.
