The UAE is set to announce the new petrol prices for the month of October at the weekend.
Petrol and diesel prices across the country went up in September for the third consecutive month.
Prices have fluctuated in the past 12 months, but are broadly similar to this time last year, with only diesel being noticeably cheaper.

In September 2022, E-Plus 91 was priced at AED3.22 a litre, while diesel was set at AED3.87 a litre.
Special 95, Super 98, and E-Plus all increased in September, while diesel prices also went up.
Petrol and diesel are both currently at the highest level this year.
Since September 1, the cost of filling up vehicles in the UAE has been:
- Special 95 – AED3.31 litre from AED3.02 in August
- Super 98 – AED3.42 a litre from AED3.14 in August
- E-Plus – AED3.23 a litre from AED2.95 in August
- Diesel – AED3.40 a litre from AED2.95 in August
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Fuel Price Committee froze petrol prices, preventing any changes.
However, in March 2021, as global oil prices began to rise, the controls were lifted to allow market forces to determine petrol prices once again.
Moreover, the fluctuation in petrol prices is also influenced by the surge in crude oil prices worldwide.
