Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has issued guidelines for customers to implement precautionary measures ahead of the rainy season.

The utility provider aims to maintain reliable electricity supplies and prevent internal outages during the period.

DEWA emphasised the importance of using a qualified electrician to maintain regular maintenance and ensure that all external electrical connections, panels and meter boxes are waterproof and properly insulated, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) said in a statement on Monday.
