Petrol prices in the UAE will drop in October for the second successive month.
Following an announcement by the Ministry of Energy and Industry, motorists filling up their cars with Super 98 will be charged AED2.24 per litre – down from AED2.28 in September; while Special 95 will cost AED2.12 per litre, a drop from AED2.16 this month.
However, diesel prices have increased slightly from AED2.38 in September, to AED2.41.
Fuel prices in the UAE were liberalised in August 2015, so they now move with the market.
Prices in the UAE peaked during the summer as Brent oil spiked at $86 a barrel – the highest level since November 2014.
