UK-based international student lender Prodigy Finance announced a new scholarship programme, offering $5,000 to support high-potential students from several countries, including the UAE and India for their overseas studies.
The scholarship will be offered for higher education abroad in Spring 2025, Prodigy Finance said.
“One high-potential student who demonstrates academic excellence and commitment to use their education to make a positive change in their community will be awarded the scholarship,” it said.
Applications for the scholarship programme, currently open, will have to be submitted by September 30, 2024.
This scholarship is open to students from all Prodigy-supported regions, which includes several countries in the Middle East and South Asia.
The scholarship is to reduce tuition costs, lower the need for loans, and to enhance career prospects by recognising academic merit and dedication.
Sonal Kapoor, the Global Chief Commercial Officer of Prodigy Finance, said the scholarship programmes are the company’s investment in students’ potential to make a meaningful impact.
